We Are Blessed
Today was our official adoption day. We went back to the Civil Affairs office for business. We were asked questions like why China, why this child, when were we married (that was the hardest one!) and did we promise not to ever abandon her. They made a footprint of Cady's right foot and we signed about 100 papers (okay, it wasn't really that many, but it seemed like it). Yeah!! She's ours.
Other than that, we shopped, played, and ate. Cady really came out of her shell today and showed us her little personality. She is a lot of fun and really a happy and content baby. She's so good. And she sleeps well, and never really cries. I guess we're in the baby honeymoon phase. I hope it doesn't end. She slept through the night last night and is down for the night right now. We just kiss her goodnight and lay her in the crib and she is asleep within 2 minutes. So wonderful.
